Our amazing staff of dedicated professionals oversee the day-to-day life and ministries of Community Church.
Shannon came to Sturgeon Bay in 2009 from the Dallas-Fort Worth area, having previously served churches in Virginia since 1989. During his ministry career, he has served on staff as a youth pastor, missions pastor, executive ministries pastor and senior pastor. In addition to his ministry roles in the church, he has served as a partnership missionary in Brazil, an associational director for student missions and as a police department chaplain.
He earned his two bachelors degrees from Liberty University in Audio Engineering (’92) and Christian Education (’93). His first masters degree was earned from Southeastern Seminary at Wake Forest in the area of Religious Education (’95). His latest Masters degree was earned from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, TX in the area of Church Leadership (’07). He is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Religious Studies in Preaching and Pastoral Ministry at Trinity Theological Seminary (expected grad date of Spring 2020).
He and his wife Kim have two children, and Kim is a professional musician and educator.
Charlie has served as Worship Pastor at Community Church since May of 2018. Previously to joining us, he was involved with several church plants and has been a consultant for many churches since 2003.
He relocated to Sturgeon Bay from Toledo, OH with his wife Christine and their five children.
In addition to worship ministry training and certificates, he is pursuing a degree in Christian Leadership Management from Liberty University.
Mike has served at Community Church since 2012 by leading the Groups Ministry for three years before transitioning to a part-time staff role leading Children's Ministry in 2015.
He is originally from Western Illinois and lived in Chicago for 12 years before relocating to Sturgeon Bay to be near family. He and his wife Angie were married in 2006 and have three children.
Mike earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing from Bradley University ('99) and has worked in the Market Research Industry for 18 years. He is a graduate of Liberty University Theological Seminary ('18) with a Master’s Degree in Discipleship and Christian Ministry.
Matt joined the Community Church staff in October of 2017, to minister to Middle-High School Students.
Matt has been in Student Ministry since 2008 and has served in churches in Pennsylvania and Wyoming. He earned a Youth Ministry Certification through Wartburg Seminary and is currently working to complete his undergraduate degree from Liberty University in Christian Education.
He, along with his wife Brittany and their two children come to us from Greensburg, PA (about 30 minutes East of Pittsburgh).
Jaime serves on church staff as the Office Manager and has been attending Community Church since 2013. She has served as a youth leader, coffee coordinator and discussion leader for a short-term women’s group.
Jaime grew up in Jay, Maine and met her husband (Andrew) at youth group. They married in 2008 and have been traveling ever since. She has lived in Alabama, China and now Sturgeon Bay. They’re currently engaged in the process of adopting a child from China.
She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Maine at Farmington and a majority of her teaching was done overseas. She worked simultaneously at five different elementary schools, tutored, and recorded conversations for standardized tests. Her teaching career in China ended after working at an after school english learning school named Giraffe. During her time at Giraffe, she helped implement a phonics-based curriculum. Upon returning to the United States in 2013, she earned an Associates Degree in Criminal Justice ('14) and graduated as the program Ambassador and graduation speaker.
