A fun, safe training ground where we are coaching kids to learn Scripture and draw near to Jesus

At Community Church, KIDZONE (our Children’s Ministry) exists to glorify God by coming alongside families to help their children become life-long, maturing disciples of Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit. We are focused on providing a fun and safe environment for kids to learn biblical truth that can then be applied.

Our classrooms are designed to lead kids with intentional, age-appropriate discipleship and teaching through The Gospel Project for Kids curriculum. We offer KIDZONE classes during both of our Sunday services.

Sunday Check-in Times:

- First Service: Check-in begins at 8:15, classes run 8:30-9:30 a.m.

- Second Service: Check-in begins at 9:45, classes start after corporate worship and during the coffee/community break. Classes typically run 10:30-11:30 a.m.

The following classes are available during our service:

+ Ages 0-1 (Playground Room)

+ Ages 2-4 (Practice Field Room)

+ Grades K-2 (Arena Room)

+ Grades 3-5 (Fieldhouse Room)

There is also an infant care room located at the back of the sanctuary, which includes its own bathroom and video/audio of the message.

Your Child Matters

At Community Church, KIDZONE places a top priority on the safety and protection of our children. One component of our many safety measures includes a secure check-in/out process on Sunday mornings, utilizing our KidCheck software. Your family account can be set-up the first time you visit, or you can register before arriving for a smoother check-in process by clicking on the picture to the right.

Our volunteers are required to be regular attenders for several months before serving in KIDZONE, and are also required to pass a background check, the application and interview process, and complete our child protection online training. We also have "Referees" to help protect the ministry area during the service. You can be sure that children are in the very best of care at Community Church.

"Children are a heritage from the LORD, offspring a reward from him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one’s youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they contend with their opponents in court."

Psalms 127:3-5

What will they learn?

Our classroom playbook is centered on biblical truth organized in our teaching curriculum The Gospel Project for Kids, produced by Lifeway. It is designed to immerse kids in the gospel through every story, theological concept, and call to mission from Genesis to Revelation. Kids will learn the Bible is not just a collection of stories, but one unified story, God’s story of redemption. Bible stories are brought to life through creative teaching elements, and family resources make it easy to grow in the gospel throughout the week.

Child Dedication

Community Church believes children are a gift from God, and we partner with parents in child dedication ceremonies. Child dedication is a public commitment a family makes before God, their church, and family. The dedication service provides an opportunity to express publicly the desire to lead and spiritually nurture a child in cooperation with the Holy Spirit, so a child will develop a desire to love God and love others.

Rather than baptizing infants or children, Community Church encourages Christian parents to dedicate their children. This is a ceremony in which parents formally call upon God’s blessing for their child and publicly commit to raise him or her in accordance with Scripture.
