Serving Within Community Church

As Christians, we are called to be "spiritual contributors", not "spiritual consumers". This means that we use our God-given gifts, skills and passions to serve our church family.

Below are our "Top 6" (in no particular order) serving needs here at Community Church. If you don't see something that aligns with your passions, gifts and skills, please fill out the form below with where you are looking to serve and we will contact you to see how you can utilize your God given gifts to serve our church family!

Be sure to regularly check back, as this list updates on a constant basis!

  • A Little Bit About This Opportunity: We are looking for an individual who is passionate about "first impressions". This person is someone who is a team builder, organized and loves people!

The Guest Services Team Leader will schedule greeters on a weekly basis for Sunday Service, coffee team and Guest Central. The Guest Services Team Leader will also equip servants in this area to perform their duties when they are scheduled.

Time Commitment: 3 to 5 hours a week to schedule, equip and maintain organization.

  • A Little Bit About This Opportunity: We take our opportunity to disciple our little ones here at Community Church seriously. This means we need all hands on deck when it comes to providing a safe and welcoming place for our children. This is where you come in!

We are looking for teachers, room assistants and referees (safety officer) for Community Kids! If you have a passion for kids and get joy out of walking alongside them as they learn about the Gospel of Jesus Christ, then we invite you to join us on Sunday Mornings.

Time Commitment: This can vary, depending on your availability. We'd love to chat with you about it!

  • A Little Bit About This Opportunity: This is one of the most important areas to serve in the life of the church. A greeter is the first face people see on a Sunday morning! If you have been gifted with hospitality and want to welcome people on Sunday morning to worship the Lord, then this is the place for you!

Time Commitment: One service a month. Arriving 15 to 20 minutes before the service begins.

  • A Little Bit About This Opportunity: Let it snow! God blesses us with beautiful blankets of snow throughout winter, but this means we need to provide a safe parking lot and sidewalks for everyone. Our parking lots are plowed and salted, but our sidewalks needed shoveled and salted.  If you are someone who likes to serve in the background, this area is for you!

Time Commitment: On call during the winter, when snow removal is needed. Though Sunday's are our busiest day, the church building and annex are used on almost a daily basis.

  • A Little Bit About This Opportunity: Each Sunday we want to bring glory to the Lord and worship Him. One of the biggest pieces to Sunday morning worship is a group of committed musicians who come together to create a worshipful experience for each person who attends a worship service at Community Church.

Whether you sing, play an instrument or are tech savvy for the sound booth, we would love to hear from you!

Time Commitment: An average of once a month at both services, as well as a one hour rehearsal earlier in the week to prepare for worship.
