You are welcome at Community Church! When you get here, you'll be greeted by a team of people who would be glad to help you figure out where to go. If you have any questions, just look for a person wearing a lanyard. They LOVE to help!
What to expect on Sundays at Community Church
-
parking
Community Church sits on the corner of Georgia Street and 12th Avenue. There are entrances off of both streets. When you pull into the parking lot, feel free to park in any spot that is open. We have no reserved spaces in the lot, other than the handicap spots located outside of the main auditorium entrance.
-
Entering the building
Our building has two entrances. If you plan on registering your children for KidZone (children's ministry), you will want to enter through the Family Entrance, located near the tree in the lower parking lot. If you will be joining us for worship only, enter through the main entrance, located off the upper parking lot.
-
what to wear
We like to say, "come as you are" here at Community Church. You'll see people wearing all sorts of clothing here... some go casual in jeans and some prefer to dress up a bit. We don't care what you wear. We care about YOU!
-
worship style
We tend to have a contemporary style of worship, but don't be surprised if you show up and we are singing classic hymns or some gospel music! We believe worshipping the Lord, when done joyfully brings glory to Him! Our sermons are primarily expository, which means the preacher will dig deep into one certain scripture a week and teach the congregation how it applies to our lives.
-
children's ministry
KidZone is our ministry for 3 years old to 5th grade and is available at the 10am service. We provide a safe and secure check-in each morning, with committed and background checked adults who LOVE to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the children God blesses us to disciple and minister to. Enter through the Family Entrance and proceed to the check-in area. If you have questions, find one of our referees!
-
coffee and tea
Coffee, tea and hot chocolate are available each week. You can bring your own mug or we have disposable cups available. Plan to hang around before or after services to enjoy some conversation and fellowship.
