Nursery

(Birth to Age 3)

Sunday mornings 9:00am Service

Community Kids seeks to encourage families in worship, and partnering with them in the faith formation of their children. During the school year, beginning the first Sunday after Labor Day through the first Sunday in June, we offer:

Nursery- birth through age 3, available each week for the entire service. We have audio of the worship service playing, allowing children to hear the worship and teaching of God's word as they play.

Preschool- age 4-Kindergarten, meets every Sunday. Children will begin worship with their families in the sanctuary and be dismissed just before the sermon. We use Young Children and Worship as our guiding curriculum, with stories from creation through the New Testament. As the title suggests, we work to make this room an age-appropriate worship space.

1st-3rd grade- meets every Sunday. Children begin worship with their families in the sanctuary and are dismissed before the sermon. We want children to know God through the revelation of himself in the bible. We use The Biggest Story curriculum. Through story format and bible reading our children will learn through the entire bible over a three-year span.

4th-5th grade- meets every Sunday. Children begin worship with their families in the sanctuary and are dismissed before the sermon. This class teaches New City Catechism curriculum. Through a series of questions and answers, children will learn and discuss theological truths to support their growing faith.

Note that nursery and our teaching classes will break for the following holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year & Easter.
