The goal for Community Students is to partner with families so that we can be an additional voice of influence in students' lives. We aim for our ministry to be a safe and welcoming place that reinforces lasting values and timeless Biblical truths in a relevant manner that will help students navigate through their daily decisions. We also want to have a good time along the way as we strive to make a Kingdom difference right here in Door County!
What is Community Students?
-
When do community students meet?
We meet every Wednesday night from 6pm to 8:00pm. We also have events throughout the year with a goal of reaching new students, making a difference for the Gospel of Jesus and to have a fun time with each other!
-
what do wednesday nights look like?
Wednesday night has a little bit of everything! We usually start the evening out with some fun games to get us laughing and having fun. After this, we have a Biblical based lesson that challenges students to live a life that brings glory to God. The students and leaders then take this challenge into their small groups that are age and gender specific to apply the Word of God to their everyday lives.

Is community students safe for my teenager?
Safety is our top priority in Community Students. Each of our leaders have passed a background check and are trained before having interaction with students. We also ensure the building is clean, safe and secure before each meeting of Community Students.

What about these events you were talking about?
Great question! As we said, we want to our students to invite their friends and we know that can sometimes be intimidating, so we provide events that their friends will want to attend! Our goal is to build relationships with students and provide a place that is safe, welcoming and accepting through the love of Jesus and His Good News!

as a parent, what can I expect?
Parents, we want to walk alongside you, the primary disciple maker of your children. For this reason, we don't want your child to leave any Community Student event and leave it at the door. So, we want to equip, empower and encourage you to continue this legacy of faith in the home. Our ministry leaders, small group leaders and pastors aren't just here for your children, they are here for you as well!
